Make a Difference

This motivational and upbeat presentation begins with the premise that most everyone wants to make a difference in his or her lifetime. One important way to have an influence is to start by making a difference within ourselves.  The concepts of self-esteem and internal messages will be explored.

Our outlook serves as a beacon which influences others in ways we’ll never know. Finally, even with excellent self-esteem and a positive outlook, if we don’t share these things, our ability to make a difference will be minimal.

Melody Templeton has worked with numerous corporate, college and community organizations, teaching them the communication, team building and creative skills so necessary in today’s fast-paced environment.

Melody has taught for both the Villanova University Communication Arts Department and the Wharton School MBA program at the University of Pennsylvania.

Melody can be reached at 610-933-9775.

Ty Sells is an alcohol and other drug-free presenter who entertains and motivates young audiences to live drug-free lives and deal with peer pressure by looking inward to personal strengths. Using everyday experiences in a typical student's life, his humorous approach educates while it entertains and inspires.

Ty's primary presentation The Power of Acceptance is a comical discussion that all students should see and hear. It challenges students to examine the way they treat others who are different from them.  It also explores the consequences of making decisions based on what is cool today. The humorous and familiar stories give those in the audience a chance to laugh while they learn; stories that give the meaning to the statement "It's funny because it's true!"

Ty knows that one speaker, on one stage, for one hour, cannot be the solution to the many complex challenges that our students face. One speaker however, can influence attitudes, provoke thought, and motivate students to begin the process of making positive changes in themselves, their schools and their communities.
